Acne/Blemish Control

Acne is a serious medical and psychological condition that can be helped by a good skincare routine. There are many degrees of acne but it is caused by a bacteria Propionibacterium acnes, which is present in all skin's but has more of a presence in skin with Acne. This bacteria feeds off sebum, a natural oil produce to lubricate the skin, and multiplies, attracting white blood cells to the follicle and causing inflammation and a build up that blocks the pore, causing a bacteria build up and inflammation. If this bacteria and sebum cannot be released it will cause blemishes and spots and what is commonly termed Acne. Acne skincare treatments aim to cleanse the pore of this bacteria and release anything blocking the pore to allow the skin to work in it's most efficient manner.

Acne Cleansers
Acne Cleansers aim to cleanse deep into the pore, removing excess sebum and controlling the production of the bacteria Propionibacterium acnes that can lead to the blocking of the pores and the creation of the condition. Acne Cleansers often tend to have a slight exfoliating element, to remove any dead skin cells on the surface of pores and allow the pore to 'breathe' normally and release sebum containing Propionibacterium acnes bacteria.
